What we collect

Account details you give us: your name, email address and password (stored only as a cryptographic hash — we never hold the password itself).

Taste preferences you choose during onboarding and in your profile: cuisines, atmospheres, budget, who you usually go out with.

What you do in the app: venues you view, save and search for, and the messages you send to the AI concierge. Concierge conversations are kept so the assistant can remember your taste between visits.

Technical data every website receives: IP address, browser type, language and approximate region. We use it to keep the service secure and to apply usage limits.

Why we use it

To give you personalised recommendations — the entire point of the product. Your preferences and past conversations shape what the concierge suggests.

To operate and secure the service: signing you in, syncing your saved venues across devices, preventing abuse of the AI assistant.

To understand which parts of the product work, in aggregate. We look at patterns, not individuals.

The AI concierge

Your messages to the concierge are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply. We send the text of your request and a shortlist of venues from our own catalogue — not your email address, name or password.

The concierge only recommends venues that exist in the FindUAE catalogue. It cannot invent a place.

You can clear your conversation history at any time from the concierge screen, and deleting your account removes it entirely.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data, and we never have.

We share the minimum necessary with the providers who run the service on our behalf: our hosting provider, our AI provider for generating concierge replies, and our error-monitoring tool. Each is bound to use the data only to deliver their service to us.

We may disclose data if the law of the United Arab Emirates requires it.

Where it is kept and for how long

Data is stored on our own servers, encrypted in transit with TLS, and backed up daily with a 30-day retention window.

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Delete your account and we remove your profile, preferences, saved venues and conversations; residual copies disappear from backups within 30 days.

Your rights

You can see and edit your preferences at any time in your profile, and delete your account yourself from the same screen — no email required, no waiting.

You can also ask us for a copy of your data or for its deletion by writing to hello@finduae.ai. We answer within 30 days.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your language and preferences. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Children

FindUAE is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data in a way that affects you, we will update this page and note the date at the top. Material changes will also be announced in the app.
